High Tea on the 123rd floor of the Burj Khalifa

Tea and scones on the 123rd floor of the tallest skyscraper in the world – no wonder they call it High Tea. Dubai restaurants don’t get much better than this. One of the most popular dining spots in Dubai, At.mosphere lounge bar is located on the 123rd floor of the Burj Khalifa. Here that you can enjoy traditional afternoon tea and fabulous views of Dubai. Glorious. What to expect? Well, the high tea consists of salads, sandwiches and cakes all served with that extra Dubai sparkle. Even the apple juice and fruit are served with flecks of real gold.

Travel Tip: Book your table ahead if you’d prefer a window seat!

The Terrace at the Burj Al Arab

New for summer 2016, this is one Dubai restaurant that cannot be missed. The new rooftop terrace atop the iconic Burj Al Arab is sure to be a must-do for sightseers and sun-seekers alike. The 10,000 metre square space is named simply The Terrace, but there’s nothing simple about this glitzy haunt; infinity pools, top quality food and cocktails, private cabanas, man-made beaches and a butler service are all offered at one of the most iconic hotels in Dubai. Dubai restaurants with a view? It’s a must.

Travel Tip: Make sure that a pass for The Terrace is included when you book your stay at the Burj Al Arab

Coya – Latin American Delights

One of the best Dubai restaurants; Coya won the Best Restaurant in Dubai 2016, so make sure to book early to avoid disappointment. Coya is part of the Four Seasons Hotel on Jumeirah Beach – the restaurant serves its own take on Peruvian cuisine, fusing traditional dishes such as ceviche with other influences such as Japanese gyoza. Seriously good food.

Travel Tip: Book your table at Coya during the day for a relaxed atmosphere and varied menu.

Pai Thai – Southeast Asian Fine Dining

Dubai restaurants aren’t all glitz and fine dining; try a little Thai food during your time in Dubai. Pai Thai fuses the fine dining with traditional Thai dishes and flavours; you can choose to enjoy your meal inside the beautifully decorated restaurant or, for a more private experience, choose a table on the terrace for the real wow factor.

Travel Tip: Alfresco dining should be reserved for the cooler months. Pick an inside table in the heat of the summer.

Seven Sands – Emirati Cuisine

If traditional Emirati dishes are what you’ve been looking forward to, try Seven Sands on the Palm. Seven Sands is one of the best Dubai restaurants for traditional food, and serves great Emirati lunches and dinner. Located right by the Sheraton Jumeriah Beach Resort, you’ll find dishes from the seven corners that make up the United Arab Emirates. From the cold mezze selection served with locally produced Yact cheese, to mouthwatering kofte and kibbeh you’ll find something to please everyone.

Travel Tip: If you are travelling in a large group, book at least 24 hours in advance to allow  the restaurant time to prepare.

Nobu – Atlantis the Palm

In keeping with the nautical theme of the Atlantis the Palm hotel, Nobu is world renowned for its sushi, sashimi and seafood – one of the best Dubai restaurants of this kind. Nobu in Dubai combines traditional Japanese elements with Arabian influences and flavours, for a truly special experience. Nobu is open for both lunch and dinner, and you can expect a luxury experience at both sittings.

Travel Tip: The usual tipping etiquette in Dubai is between 10% and 15% of the total bill.

Al Mahara – Fresh Seafood Burj Al Arab

This is simply one of the best Dubai restaurants, and you cannot miss it. Seriously – you’ll be eating with the fishes at this underwater dining experience at the Burj Al Arab. It’s not very often you can say you’ve dined with the fishes, but at the Al Mahara restaurant you can do just that.

What to expect? Well, the Al Mahara (Oyster Shell) restaurant is surrounded by an aquarium and has been designed so that all of the tables have a great view of the tank’s stunning tropical fish and sea creatures. Seafood is the main cuisine in the Al Mahara, with scallops, lobster and ravioli sprinkled with gold leaf. Oh yes.

Travel Tip: Ensure you arrive earlier than your reservation so that you can pick your preferred table next to the aquarium glass for the best view.
