Silver-Tea (1)

What: Want to have Afternoon Tea AND do something good for charity? The Athenaeum Hotel & Apartments have got you covered. They’ve won awards for how delicious their Afternoon Tea is -we’ve tried it for ourselves and it’s scrumptious – so you really need to try it for yourself!

Where: Trust us when we say that their desserts need to be tried to be believed. Grab your best friend, work mate, your mum or whoever else, and treat yourself at The Athenaeum, 116 Piccadilly, Mayfair, W1J 7BJ.

When: Whenever. The Silver Afternoon Tea is being held every day until December 31st. With silver dipped strawberries, silver leaf English trifle and silver scones, it’s bound to be a memorable afternoon! Silver Tea starts from £39.50 – with £5 going to the charity. Click here to book

2. Enjoy free food: Soho

Club Sandwich

What: You know how things always seem to taste better when they’re free? Well Yelp do too, so they’ve set up #YelptoberFeast, a month of discovering the hidden gems of London, as well as enjoying free treats. This week they’ve generously decided to give you a free quarter rotisserie chicken – or 5 free wings. All you have to do is download the app and check yourself in, with a picture. Basically, tap one tiny button, upload the picture you’re probably going to Instagram anyway, and get free food. Seriously, that’s it.

Where: If you’re a fan of free food, head to Clockjack, just near Piccadilly Circus, 14 Denman Street, Soho, W1D 7HJ. We’ll see you there!

When: The Yelp offer is available from Tuesday, October 13th – Thursday, October 15th, for the first 25 people who check in. To find out more about other #Yelptoberfeast events, visit their website here.

3. Get some culture: Brick Lane

Tim+Fowler

What: The best thing about London is how artistic the city is, and where better to celebrate this than the Moniker Art Fair? The fair is returning to east London’s iconic Old Truman Brewery for its sixth year, having firmly established itself as London’s premiere event for contemporary art rooted in urban culture. We can’t reveal all the surprises, but we can say that their new ‘Renaissance is Now’ installation  will leave you with a pretty big sense of hope. What more could you want?

Where: Want to embrace your artistic side? Why not do it in the most creative part of the capital? Head over to the stunning Truman Brewery, 91 Brick Lane, E1 6QL.

When: The Moniker Art Fair is coming to Brick Lane on Thursday, October 15th, but it’s only around for a few days, so if you want to see some incredible urban art, or want to bag a bargain, you better be quick! Tickets are available from £8 – to get one, or for more information, click right here

What: If last week’s London Cocktail Week excited you, this week will be your favourite one yet. It’s officially National Chocolate Week (and Rum Experience Week, but more of that below!) We’ve already sorted out a list of the best events here, but if you need more chocolatey goodness, why not head to the South Place Hotel bar, where their very lovely, incredibly talented barman Mattias will rustle up the most amazing sweet cocktail treats for you. We won’t spoil all the surprises, but we will tell you that one drink involves taking a sip and licking the sugar coated glass afterwards. YUM.

Where: If glass-licking is your thing, and it will be after trying their cocktails, get yourself down to South Place Hotel, 3 South Place, Moorgate, EC2M 2AF.

When: Well as it’s currently National Chocolate Week you might want to get down there pretty sharpish. Visit their website here to see what else they’ve got going on.

5. Try some rum: Clerkenwell

Rum- B&H (1) (1)

Where: The lovely lot at Bourne & Hollingsworth are hosting the Rum Masters tasting and dinner, so if you’re a rum fan, be sure to head to Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings, 42 Northampton Road, Clerkenwell, EC1R 0HU.
