bttf2-main

What: Film fans have had Wednesday in their diaries for decades. Why is Wednesday, October 21st such an iconic day? It’s the day that Marty McFly arrived in the future (well, the present…) in Back to the Future II. Those lovely folks at Match.com are celebrating the day at Corbet Place by hosting a pop-up cinema – including an 80’s style bar AND there will be a real life DeLorean on site for you to take the perfect futuristic photos with.

Where: The event is open to all singles and you don’t have to be a Match member to attend so grab your denim and your skateboard, head to Corbet Place, 15 Hanbury Street, E1 6QR, and enjoy the 80’s classic in style.

When: If all the above isn’t enough, there will be drinks and popcorn served all night! The doors open at 6:30 on Wednesday, October 21st, with tickets priced at £10. Click right here to purchase them.

What: If you’re a regular About Time reader, you’ll know how much we LOVE food. So we were pretty happy hearing that one of our favourite pop-ups, Cuisson, has been given a three-month residency in the beautiful Waterloo Vaults. Having truly perfected their distinctive style of inventive fine-dining with their POP-Down supper club in Borough, they’ll be doing it again on a much bigger scale. Trust us when we say, their food is beyond amazing and their cocktails need to be tasted to be believed.

Where: Cuisson have re-invented the ‘pop-up’ with their own personal POPdown – and it’s FULL of surprises! They’ve popped up in a spectacular location, so get yourself over to the amazing Waterloo Vaults, on Leake Street, SE1 7NN and take it all in.

When: Cuisson are popping down to the Vaults from Tuesday, October 20th, until January 2016, but if we were you, we’d head down as soon as possible before word truly gets out! They’ve also got a late night license to keep the party going until 2am. Visit their website here to book

3. Have Afternoon Tea: Mayfair

Unknown

What: We don’t know about you, but one of our favourite things to do is to have afternoon tea, AND find amazing places to go for it. And we’ve uncovered a gem. Mayfair’s iconic restaurant Quaglino’s has introduced a Prohibition Afternoon Tea, complete with 1920’s themed cocktails smuggled in tin cans, gorgeous champagne, fruity tea and the most delicious macaroons. It’s a modern take on the Prohibition, complete with tea!

Where: Mayfair houses the most incredible, luxurious restaurants and bars, and Quaglino’s is definitely no exception. If you’ve not been there before, the space really is spectacular. For an afternoon tea you won’t forget in a hurry, get to 16 Bury Street, Mayfair, SW1Y 6AJ.

When: Whenever, just go! The Prohibition afternoon tea is available Monday to Saturday, 3pm – 5pm, and is priced from £29.50 per person. You can choose between champagne and cocktails, but if you need more information, visit their website here.
