Each week a new menu is created, unraveling the chosen show’s plot in food format right through from entrée to dessert. Making for an enjoyable themed-dining experience, Edible Stories reinterprets Phantom of the Opera’s Parisian Opera House and reimagines the power of imagination in their retelling of Roald Dahl’s Matilda. Set against the backdrop of 19th-century France Boublil and Schönberg’s Les Miserables, Edible Stories whets your theatrical appetite, making for an ideal alternative to pre-theatre dining, with weekend lunches served 12:30pm to 3pm.

No points for guessing that those with a sweet tooth will automatically lean towards the candy curated choosing’s of Matilda’s menu, sampling savoury sweets and truffles. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory is just the ticket for die hard chocoholics with eyes for that mysterious confectioner Willy Wonka and his incredible edible delights. Alternatively, Les Miserables’ more traditional serve of French rough vermouth or poached pears with chantilly cream is sure to satisfy those with a more robust (and mature) appetite.

Full disclosure: Violet Beauregarde’s three-course meal gum is not on the menu.
