1. For an Indian Experience: Trishna
What: We’re a sucker for a good quality, Indian curry. Well, if you’re like us, get yourself down to Not Your Average Curry Night on Tuesday (10th), developed by Trishna – the Michelin restaurant in Marylebone. The night pays tribute to the Brits longstanding love affair with the curry night. You can’t beat a garlic naan and a pint of Cobra.
Why: At each event, everyone will have the opportunity to experience Michelin-starred regional cooking from culinary hotspots in India, with a five course menu served alongside carefully chosen champagne and wine pairings by sommelier and co-founder Sunaina Sethi. The menu is a celebration of Goan flavours playing homage to an array of well-known Indian dishes. These include: Panjim Bombil – Bombay duck, kokum, cashew nut, and chicken chops, with coriander, coconut and rum.

2. For the Gluten-Free Hunnies: SMITHS of Smithfield x CELIA Lager
What: It’s Coeliac Awareness Week this week, (and British Sandwich Week – the Irony, eh?).The lovely people at SMITHS of Smithfield and CELIA organic, gluten-free lager have teamed up for a special collaboration offering everyone a gluten-free dining experience like no other.
Why: From Wednesday (11th May) until the end of the month, for just a tenner, the team will be serving a juicy, gluten-free, organic burger, chips and a refreshing bottle of CELIA lager. If you’re a big fan of craft beer make sure you don’t miss out on SMITHS of Smithfield’s Meet The Brewer event on Wednesday 11th May. From 6:30-8pm, you will be able to meet the members of the brewery, learn how CELIA is made and find out why this is one lager that is definitely #BrewedForFood.

3. For Something Different: Junkyard Golf Club
What: Like music? Enjoy food? Love a booze? Pretty average at crazy golf? If you answer yes to at least three of those questions – head down to Junkyard, the latest pop-up attraction hitting London town this Thursday (12th May) at The Old Truman Brewery.
Why: In their first London foray, the creative minds behind Manchester’s B.Eat Street and Friday Food Fight, is bringing Junkyard Golf Club to the city this summer. The unique take on crazy golf finds courses in mutant form, jewels from the scrap heap augmented into glittering obstacles for amateur and pro golfers to overcome. After all your holes in one – street food soon-to-be legends Bart’s Dog Kart and Big Grillie Style, will be serving lip-smacking hot dogs, nachos and other edible delights.

4. For X Factor Style Fun: The Piano Works
What: The Piano Works, where the audience decides the repertoire, is handing over their iconic stage to the musical acts of tomorrow with their ‘Bars Got Talent’ Industry Night, happening every Monday night. The competition is open to anyone who works or drinks in bars. Located in an intimately lit listed Victorian warehouse, two grand pianos and a six piece backing band is at the heart of the Farringdon venue. Singers from all over the country will be invited to take centre stage and sing with The Piano Works talented musicians.
Why: A £100 bar tab will be offered each week to the most impressive performer, decided by a panel of expert judges. At the end of the 13 week run, each week’s winners will compete for a £1000 cash prize. If you don’t see yourself as the next Madonna, or Mariah Carey – come for the £4 drink deals and and slabs of ribs for £10.

5. For Various Events: Brooklyn Brewery’s Mash Tour
What: Brooklyn Brewery is bringing its MASH tour to London this week, with pop ups and free events centred around beer, music and food. Running from Wednesday 11th to Sunday 15th May, The Mash Tour sees the launch of Brooklyn Scorcher IPA in the UK, a delicious, sessionable IPA, available for the first time this side of the pond.
Why: On Thursday, enjoy a free show and a bar stocked full of Brooklyn Brewery beer at awe-inspiring music venue, the Church of St John-at-Hackney, with critically acclaimed headliners, METZ. Friday and Saturday will bring Brooklyn’s Beer Mansion to Dalston – an interactive and immersive beer festival, combining humanity’s favourite beverage with local food, art, and music, all in one place, with 2 piece heavy blues rock and roll band, the Graveltones and London psychedelic rock quintet, Messenger performing on both nights. Pack a strong stomach and let’s get drinking.
