Top 5: Ways to Eat Brunch in London This WeekendBy Alicia Grimshaw
It’s that time of the week again; the weekend is on the horizon and we’re all whatsapping our chums organising Friday night plans and Saturday hangover cures. There’s only one plan you need to organise: brunch. Here’s the best spots you need to visit in London this weekend:
1. For a New Brunch Menu: Ollie Dabbous x Henrietta Hotel
What: Fancy checking out a new brunch menu this weekend? Swing by Henrietta Hotel to munch on Ollie Dabbous’ new ingredient-led brunch menu featuring classic and contemporary brunch dishes.
Eat and Drink: Savoury and sweet dishes feature on the menu alongside smaller plates, perfect for grazing and sharing. Choose from dishes such as fried duck egg with wild mushrooms and garlic butter; Josper grilled Cornish mussels with fried agria potatoes and garlic mayonnaise; and Delica pumpkin, graceburn, buckwheat and pumpkin seed salad. Sweet fan? Opt for buckwheat waffles with smoked fudge sauce and banana, or the coconut bircher muesli with meadowsweet, crushed green apple and pomegranate. A selection of grilled flatbreads served with a variety of toppings are also available, including freshly picked crab, garlic butter and coastal herbs.
Where: 14-15 Henrietta St, London WC2E 8QG
2. For an Italian Brunch: Radici
What: This is what happens what two of our favourite thing collide: a pizza brunch. A pizza brunch, ladies and gentlemen. Radici is rolling out a new bottomless weekend brunch, that centres around a knockout sharing pizza created by Francesco and the newly-appointed Head Chef, Giuseppe Cafaro.
Eat and Drink: Radici’s Brunch Pinsa for two to share is a playful take on several classic combinations, featuring smoked salmon and yoghurt, poached eggs and avocado, prosciutto and mushroom. Further brunch dishes, inspired by the warm climate and wonderful ingredients of Italy, include Tuscany meets Puglia with pappa pomodoro, burrata and anchovy; cannellini bean stew with poached eggs and sausage; and ciambotta – grilled pumpkin, mushrooms and torpedino tomatoes. Meanwhile, for something sweet, salty and utterly indulgent, Francesco and Giuseppe have created the grilled pineapple and pancetta pancakes with, mascarpone, honey and orange.
Where: 30 Almeida St, London N1 1AD
3. For a Bottomless Brunch: Señor Ceviche
What: Señor Ceviche’s new brunch banquet is making its arrival in Fitzrovia, and bringing a dose of downtown Lima vibes along with it. Always a party at the casa, every Saturday there’s a live DJ providing a lively mix of Latin funk, upbeat vibes and big tunes.
Eat and Drink: And we haven’t even mentioned the best bit: dig into unlimited dishes across a whole host of Señor’s favourites including the Chifa Chicharrones (pork belly), classic ceviche and the brunch exclusive, Peruvian hot wings. Take your temptations over to the Peruvian BBQ section and choose from dishes including slow cooked Pachamanca pork ribs, papaya marinated flat iron steak and, for the more adventurous appetites, ‘Corazόn de Res’ (grilled beef heart). The good news keeps on coming as the brunch party includes free-flowing Argentinian white wine, a fruity Chilean red or casa-made peach Bellinis.
Where: 18 Charlotte Street, Fitzrovia, London W1T
4. For a Hong Kong Inspired Brunch: Tea Room
What: Tea Room below Bun House have boarded the brunch wagon, and now offer an all-day brunch menu on Saturdays and Sundays, taking cues from the indulgent brunches that every good weekend revolves around in Hong Kong.
Eat and Drink: Pick from Kowloon breakfast staples like pumpkin congee with cured egg yolk and braised pork mince, topped with yao zha guai (fried dough), pickled leeks, and fresh basil, and classic Hong Kong French toast stuffed with peanut butter, cheese, butter and syrup. Other classic brunch dishes which have been given a Cantonese spin include cumin potato hash with fried egg and house pickles, and a Hong Kong egg scramble and beef butty sandwiched in fried sweet/savoury dough. Sides include braised pig guts with yau zha gaui, Sa Yong, a Chinese doughnut filled with persimmon cream, and Bo lo Yau, a pineapple bun.

5. For a Buffet Brunch: Mother
What: Mother has been serving their well-loved brunch spread since the opening of their restaurant in the Meatpacking District in Copenhagen back in 2010. But you don’t need to board a Ryanair flight to get your hands on their brunch, as the team have brought over the same buffet vibe to their Battersea Station outpost.
Eat and Drink: On the brunch buffet, you’ll find fresh salads, pasta dishes, pickled and roasted veggies, Parmigiano Reggiano DOP 24 months (protected origin), locally produced cheeses such as mozzarella, ricotta and burrata, muffins, yoghurt and homemade granola, fresh fruit – and of course a never-ending selection of their signature sourdough pizza made with sea water.
