National Pizza Day: The Specials
Don’t know where to head for a slice of the action? We’ve highlighted below our favourite pizza specials that you need to get your chops around (and they’re not just available on National Pizza Day).
1. For the Most Decisive Pizza: Pizza Pilgrims x Neil Rankin
The Run-Down: Brothers Thom and James Elliot of Pizza Pilgrims have come to a major disagreement about the topic and have written an open letter asking for the public’s help. Along with Neil Rankin they have created their very own Hawaiian special, the Hawaii-not?, topped with charred fresh pineapple marinated in honey and lime, Scotch bonnet chillies, buffalo mozzarella and spicy nduja sausage. The Hawaii-not? will launch at National Pizza Day and will be available in all Pizza Pilgrims pizzerias for a month, and everyone who tries the Hawaii-not? will be given a YES or NO sticker to place on tally boards in each pizzeria. At the end of the month Pizza Pilgrims will count all votes, deciding once and for all if pineapple has a place on pizza or not.
Eat if: You enjoy the fruit/savoury combination. Frankly, we think pineapple has no place on a pizza, but each to their own.

2. For a Special Collaboration: Four Hundred Rabbits x Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen
The Run-Down: Four Hundred Rabbits will be teaming up with popular popup Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen to offer two brand new sourdough pizzas inspired by founder and cookbook author Zoe Adjonyoh’s signature dishes. Tuck into a meaty special showcasing Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen favourites jollof nine-spice ground lamb and spiced peanut sauce, plus cassava, spring onions, San Marzano tomatoes and mozzarella, or opt for the vegetarian combination of Zoe’s contemporary Ghanaian chilli and garlic marinated garden eggs (baby aubergines) with shito hot pepper mayonnaise, wood-roasted yellow peppers, rocket, sesame seeds, San Marzano tomatoes and goat’s cheese. On Friday (9th February), pizza lovers can enjoy both of Four Hundred Rabbits x Zoe’s Ghana Kitchen specials and all of the team’s renowned London sourdough pizzas with an exclusive 30% discount for one day only, as part of Foodism’s National Pizza Day celebration
