Flipping Amazing: 10 Pancake Toppings You Need to TryBy Alicia Grimshaw
Fancy something a little bit different this Pancake Day? Us, too. We reckon we’ve found the best pancake toppings ever – from marshmallows to dairy-free chocolate spread, here’s how to create pancake perfection this year:
Pancake Day: Sauces
1. For a Boozy Sauce: Joe and Seph’s
What: Joe & Seph’s Prosecco Caramel Sauce (£5.99)
The Lowdown: Made with fresh double cream and reminiscent of afternoons spent in the sun with a glass of fizz, Joe & Seph’s Prosecco Caramel Sauce is basically heaven in a jar. Handmade in their London kitchen, by Joseph, and his team of pastry chefs, the sauce is infused with a fragrant Prosecco made from Italian Glera grapes, to create a rich, intense flavour with hints of apple and white blossom.
Eat With: Top tip: add the sauce to your pancake whilst it’s still in the pan. It melts a little, and it tastes like heaven.

2. For Salted Caramel: Paul A Young
What: Sea Salted Caramel Sauce (£7)
The Lowdown: Nigella Lawson once claimed that she was ‘in a love affair with salted caramel’ and we don’t blame her. And there’s only one salted caramel sauce you need to buy for Pancake Day: Paul A Young’s show stopping sweet, sticky concoction. Gloriously thick and utterly moreish, Paul has pulled it out the bag again with this delightful number.
Eat With: With a spoon, straight out of the jar (save some for your pancakes though).

Pancake Day: Nut Butter
3. For Peanut Butter: ManíLife
What: Deep Roast Peanut Butter (£4.95)
The Lowdown: ManíLife crunchy peanut butter is unlike other butters on the market. Why? Each jar is crammed full of Argentinian Hi-oleic peanuts, sourced straight from Cordoba. The Deep Roast as the name may suggest, is pretty intense; a longer roast for a deeper flavour. This peanut butter will blow your mind.
Eat With: Blob peanut butter on a pancake and top with banana – it’s a fail-safe combo.
