Order: Granola & Lúcuma (£5)
The Blend: Oat, quinoa and kiwicha granola with low fat Greek yoghurt, lúcuma puree, seasonal fruit, maca.
The Lowdown: Expect Peruvian ceviche, street food, smoothies and cocktails in a trendy, South American-inspired setting. We love the food at Andina – light, fresh, full of flavour – it’s the perfect place for a family dinner, catch up with your girlfriends or a casual date alike. If you like quinoa, you’ll love this unusual breakfast creation. The combination of creamy Greek yogurt, sweet fruit and crunchy homemade quinoa granola is pure breakfast perfection, we say.

2. For Quinoa Pancakes: Story Coffee
Order: Quinoa Pancakes (£7.50)
The Blend: Quinoa Pancakes with roasted apple, wild flowers honey, whipped ricotta and toasted coconut (gluten-free)
The Lowdown: Picture a petite, bright cafe with high ceilings serving espresso drinks and sophisticated light bites, and you’ve got Story Coffee about right. Story Coffee is the ideal place for a weekend brunch, with a killer menu. Expect dishes such as Smashed Avo with smoked paprika, lemon, pesto and wild rocket on toasted sourdough, Apple Bircher Muesli with fresh berries, chia seeds and Greek yoghurt and 8 Hot Pastrami Melt with jalapenos, diced onions and dijon mustard with 3 cheese blend. For gluten-free pancakes, you can’t beat their quinoa delights with roasted apple, sweet ricotta and tasty coconut. Honestly, a match made in heaven.

3. For a Quinoa Bowl: The Good Life Eatery
Order: So Fresh and So Clean (£7.75)
The Blend: Poached eggs, quinoa, kale, sweet potato, basil cashew cream and omega seeds (gluten and dairy free)
The Lowdown: The Good Life Eatery is a favourite pit stop for the healthy foodie crowd, who come here to lap up a bit of zen and delicious healthy food. The menu caters for gluten-free, vegans, vegetarians and dairy-free, but it certainly doesn’t skimp on flavour. Breakfast favourites here include the paleo chestnut and almond waffles, with coconut yogurt, raspberry jam, mashed banana, cranberry sprinkle and the Skinny Royal with poached eggs, smoked salmon, saffron yogurt, chives on whole grain toast. We can’t get enough of their quinoa bowl with sweet potato, eggs and kale for a really healthy start to the day.

4. For Quinoa Porridge: Caravan King’s Cross
Order: Red Quinoa and Oat Porridge (£6)
The Blend: Red quinoa and organic oat almond milk porridge, banana, Medjool date and maple (dairy-free).
The Lowdown: We can’t get enough of Caravan. The weekend brunch menu features many classic, such as baked eggs with tomato pepper ragout; Greek yoghurt and Aleppo chilli and jalapeno corn bread French toast. Other dishes on the menu include, kimchi pancake, with slow roast pork belly and gochujang ketchup, and sunny duck egg, and salt beef brisket hash with pickled cucumber, poached eggs and hollandaise. Their red quinoa and organic oat porridge, topped with stewed pear and blackberries is not to be missed.

5. For Quinoa Delights: COYA
Order: Ensalada de Quinoa (£7.50)
The Blend: Quinoa, tamarind, herbs and pomegranate (gluten-free)
The Lowdown: We love the weekend brunch menu at COYA Mayfair. Full of Peruvian inspired delights, such as Chilean sea bass, rice, lime, chilli, Grilled sweetcorn, lime and chilli butter and Slow roasted pulled pork, smoked chilli, salsa criollo, it’s a menu bursting full of flavour. They adore using quinoa to cook with at COYA and you’ll see it all over the menu, in the form of quinoa salad, quinoa stir-fry and quinoa croquettes. We love this fresh, zingy salad with herbs, tamarind and pomegranate for something deliciously summery.
