1. In a Mediterranean Fashion: OPSO

What: OPSO, famed for their wine lists and incredible Greek dishes, have boarded the brunch train, offering a lovely Mediterranean way to eat brunch in London this weekend. The stylish Greek eatery will be bringing a taste of the Mediterranean to Marylebone with a delicious menu of signature fare including grouper tartare and beef cheek, tomato and béchamel sauce. Oh baby.

Why: The brainchild behind OPSO is consultant chefs Georgianna Hiliadaki and Nikos Roussos, co-founders of two-Michelin starred restaurant Funky Gourmet in Athens. OPSO’s menu of sharing dishes is spearheaded by signature fare such as grouper tartare; grilled salmon with celery root purée; pastitsio noodles with hilopites, beef cheek, tomato and béchamel sauce and lemon-oregano chicken drumsticks, slow cooked for 12 hours with potato purée. Best of all, you can enjoy your brunch on their 40 seater terrace outside.

Order: OPSO pancake (£6) with cheese cream strawberry jam and blueberries and slow cooked poached eggs (£9) on ‘koulouri’ milk bread, with Greek yogurt hollandaise and bacon. Nom.

Brunch is served Saturday and Sunday 10am – 5pm

2. With Bottomless Prosecco: One Canada Square

What: Looking for a boozy brunch in London this weekend? Well, how do you make a delicious brunch of perfectly cooked eggs, the smokiest bacon and tangy Bloody Marys more tempting? By making it bottomless, of course. One Canada Square, located in the lobby of the iconic landmark building on Canary Wharf,  offers bottomless beverages to accompany the set brunch menu on Saturdays.

With two courses for just £20 or three for £25 (plus £20 for the bottomless benefits), One Canada Square is the perfect spot for Saturday brunch.

Order: The Saturday brunch (from 9am-5pm) features a wide variety of brunchtime favourites from Eggs Royale and Florentine to Scottish Salmon Tartare with charred cucumber and ash mayonnaise. For those who fancy something a little more substantial, try dishes such as Smoked Chicken with wild rabbit and guinea fowl terrine or the classic Shorthorn Burger.

The Saturday brunch is served from 12-3 every Saturday.

3. In an Incredible Setting: Sea Containers at Mondrian London

What: Exciting news for people wanting brunch in London this weekend! Sea Containers, located in the stunning hotel Mondrian London on the South Bank, is launching a weekend brunch this Saturday. The delicious 3-course menu, devised by Seamus Mullen, is rather New York inspired (given Seamus’ roots). Think: Kale Caesar salad, a stacks of delicious blueberry pancakes, steak and eggs and sharing dishes for the table. There will also be fresh juices and brunch cocktails by drinks genius Mr. Lyan. Award-winning chef Seamus Mullen is known for his inventive flavours and emphasis on real, whole foods, and this is guaranteed to be a big hit.

Where20 Upper Ground, London, SE1 9PD

Why: The beautiful restaurant features an open kitchen, visible wood-fire oven, central “diner” bar and a restaurant space designed by Tom Dixon with floor-to-ceiling windows to complement its location on the river Thames. There is some outdoor seating for the summer months – overlooking the river – and the restaurant’s windows are fully retractable. The ‘farm to table’ movement is integral to the Sea Containers kitchen and its menu; produce is carefully sourced from organic farmers and Fair Trade cooperatives from around the UK and the Continent. Basically, the food is incredible.

Order: For something sweet, the buttermilk waffles with vanilla ice cream, streaky bacon and maple syrup. For drinks, try the coconut pulp, almond butter, bitter chocolate, avocado smoothie and for sharing, the seafood platter with oysters, marinated bass, crab salad, scallops, poached sweet shrimp, classic cocktail sauce and mignonette.

The brunch menu will be available every Saturday and Sunday from 12pm-5pm 

4. In a New Trendy Hangout: The Broadgate Circle

What: There’s an impressive line-up of new operators in the Broadgate Circle including Yauatcha, The Botanist, Jose Pizzaro and Franco Manca. If you’re looking for a very special brunch, try Beany Green – an Aussie independent which showcases bold flavoured, healthy-focused all-day food. Think: gluten-free Broccoli Bread topped with avocado, poached eggs and tofu mayonnaise to its award-winning Banana Bread Sandwich and the Full Bondi – full English breakfast with avocado & lemon. For a household favourite, try Aubaine, which has also just opened in Broadgate Circle.

5. In a Cool Hotel: The Montagu at Hyatt Regency

What: If you like Italian food, you’ll love this. This Saturday Brunch at the Hyatt Regency includes a huge variety of savoury New York and Italian dishes including risotto, spaghetti and meatballs, Caesar salad, salami and cheese and gourmet pizzas. Desserts include tiramisu, New York cheesecake and torta di cioccolata. The Saturday Brunch also includes free-flowing complimentary white and red Italian wines, speciality Bloody Marys, American lagers, Bellini’s and soft drinks.

Why: If you’re looking for something more fancy, they have also a fantastic Sunday brunch with free-flowing champange. The Sunday Champagne Pommery Brunch includes free-flowing Pommery Brut Royal champagne, premium wines and soft drinks. Need we say more?

Order: Home-made focaccia bread, grilled New York sirloin steak, wild mushrooms, rosemary jus and New York cheesecake with blueberry compote, of course.

The New York Italian Style Brunch is served from 12:30pm to 3:00pm every Saturday. The brunch is priced at £49 per adult, with children under the age of 12 receiving a 50% discount.
