The Lowdown: The London Cocktail Club are no strangers to making cocktails. There’s now 7 outlets across the city, with each bar a mecca of popular and off the wall tipples. Don’t expect the usual contemporary chic cocktail bar, what you can find however, is a dark watering hole that has seen better days. 5. For a ‘Make it Your Way’ Sling: The Bar at The Dorchester
The Drink: Singapore Sling – Gin, cherry heering, Cointreau liqueur, benedictine and pineapple juice
The Lowdown: There’s bars, and then there’s bars. The Bar at The Dorchester needs no introduction – for decades, this hotspot has been the ultimate destination for cocktails in London. The cocktail queens who come here are as glamorous as the interiors. If you make your way to the Park Lane address, don your best dress. The bar is open to both guests and non-guests, and serves a fine selections of spirits, champagnes and wines. Their Singapore Sling isn’t on the menu, but is available when you ask one of the staff – and happens to be one of London’s best Singapore Slings. 6. For a Traditional Sling: Be at One
The Drink: Singapore Sling – Gin, Cherry brandy, Benedictine, Cointreau, Lime juice and Grenadine
The Lowdown: Be at One may not be the sassiest bar in London, but believe us – their cocktail craft is up there. You know what you getting at Be at One: a good solid cocktail menu, drinks that don’t taste like a bag of sugar, and a playlist of party bangers. The Soho branch on Greek Street is our favourite, and serves up one of London’s best Singapore Slings if you like things done quickly. The subterranean bar is low lit and has ample of seating space, and a dance floor to a bust a couple of questionable moves. Their Singapore Sling is based on the Raffles Hotel recipe, and is long and fruity with a herbal kick.
