London is hotter than a microwaveable lasagne right now, and we need to cool down with a a strong drink and a breeze (we miss a lovely summer breeze). Get yourself off the tube, and head to one of these outdoor terraces stat:
1. For a New Terrace: Beautiful Allotment
Drink: Rebourne – Beefeater London dry gin, lemon, raspberry orgeat and lemonade
The Lowdown: From the team behind Bourne & Hollingsworth Buildings, Beautiful Allotment has taken the homemade and creative inspiration of an allotment, and has has turned the green Geffrye Museum’s grounds into a beautiful sun drenched outdoor space ideal for feasting, drinking and socialising. Bookable day beds, handcrafted potting sheds, makeshift cocktail bars and raised BBQ areas are mixed in with trailing plants, vegetable patches, repurposed items and homemade, handpicked pieces of furniture.

2. For a Taste of France: Dalloway Terrace x St Germain
Drink: Gin Lane – St Germain, Hendrick’s, Viogner, agave and rose syrup
The Lowdown: Capturing the beauty of the south of France, Dalloway Terrace’s new summer floral installation in collaboration with St-Germain, features a cascading canopy of over 1,000 dried flowers and some extra je ne sais quoi. It’s the closest thing you’ll get to being in the France without leaving the capital. As well as the lovely floral decor, St Germain have created a series of new cocktail serves including the fabulous Luxumberg Gardens – a refreshing mix of St Germain, Suze, lime and basil cordial and Perrier-Jouët Champagne.

3. For Bacardi Cocktails: Coya Angel Court
Drink: Caipora – Bacardi Carta Negra shaken with Yaguara ouro cachaca, pineapple juice and Cointreau infused tonka beans.
The Lowdown: Coya Angel Court’s newly opened terrace has been designed by Sagrada, with tropical floral arrangements created by Chantal Floral. A Peruvian inspired outdoor drinking den, the terrace has been created in partnership with Barcardi, with cocktails including the thirst quenching Espiritu Libre, a muddle of Bacardi 8yo with lemongrass syrup, fresh kumquats, mint and peach liqueur, and the Caipora with Bacardi Carta Negra shaken with Yaguara ouro cachaca, pineapple juice and Cointreau infused tonka beans.

4. For Aperitivo Hour: Fenchurch Terrace x Italicus
Drink: Negroni Bianco – Italicus, Vermouth and London dry gin.
The Lowdown: Italicus Rosolio di Bergamotto have taken over the Fenchurch Terrace, 37 floors up in Sky Garden, for a limited time only. The new pop-up bar celebrates the botanical essence of the garden with a floral Rosolio aperitivo-focused menu designed by head bartender Gaspare Di Carlo, as well as delicate, seasonal bar bites – designed by Fenchurch Restaurant’s Head Chef Daniel Fletcher to complement the ripe bergamot and subtle floral notes of the Italicus serves, and include roast Isle of Mull scallop with spring peas, dulse seaweed and Lilliput capers and Mara de Bois strawberry and basil “Eton Mess”.

5. For a Private Terrace: Sanderson Hotel
Drink: Berners Spritz – Martini Riserva Speciale Ambrato, Martini Riserva Speciale Bitters, prosecco, soda
The Lowdown: Escape the madness of Oxford Street and make a beeline for Sanderson’s Berners Terrace in conjunction with Peroni AMBRA and MARTINI Riserva Speciale. Open until September, the terrace is concealed from passing pedestrians by fruiting Chinotto orange trees and seasonal plants. Enjoy cocktails like the Negroni Ambra with Peroni Ambra, Martini Riserva Speciale Rubino, Bombay Sapphire Gin, and small bites such as grilled octopus with roast lemon puree, and Crispy gnocchi with pesto and parmesan.
