5 Outdoor Terraces For Post Work Drinks in LondonBy Alicia Grimshaw
Wondering where to drink outside in London this week? We have it covered. Londoners love nothing more than a cocktail in the sunshine; even if the weather’s a little hit and miss, we’ll seize any opportunity to feel the sun on our face as we sip an ice-cold drink. Here’s 5 of our favourite spots for outside drinks in the capital this week:
1. For Gin Cocktails: Yauatcha City x Tanqueray No. TEN
Must Order: Tanqueray No. TEN Gin and Jasmine tea, served with Fever-Tree naturally light tonic garnished with lemongrass (£12)
The Run-Down: Work around Liverpool Street and need somewhere to hit after work? Yauatcha City and Tanqueray No. TEN have transformed the east terrace of Yauatcha City into a lush floral garden surrounded by all sorts of greenery and botanical knick knacks. Hakkasan Group Head of Bar, Eder Neto and World Class bartender Ali Reynolds, have created a bespoke cocktail menu of Tanqueray No. TEN Gin and Teas exclusive to Yauatcha City including the likes of the Tanqueray No. TEN Gin and Classical Beauty blue tea, served with Fever-Tree naturally light aromatic tonic garnished with strawberries. And for eats, there’s dim sum and snacks such as golden truffle croquette, Berkshire pork belly mantou and salt and pepper anchovy. One of the best places to drink outside in London, for sure.
Where: Yauatcha City, Broadgate Circle, London EC2M 2QS
2. For Rooftop Vibes: Fest Camden
Must Order: Aperol Spritz (£10)
The Run-Down: This is something Camden has been crying out for: a decent roof terrace. Behold Fest, a new entertainment offering combining street food and pizza with cocktails, craft beers, live music and plenty of seats to kick back and soak up the rays. The terrace not only boasts sweet views over North London and beyond, but also plays host to weekly live music events alongside alfresco dining and drinking with its wood fired pizza oven and extensive cocktail menu.
3. For Bubbles: Mondrian London x Laurent-Perrier
Must Order: Laurent-Perrier Champagne flight (£42)
The Run-Down: One of the best places to drink outside in London! For dazzling views across the Thames, and Champagne on tap – take a trip to Mondrian London and Champagne Laurent-Perrier’s all new Midsummer Terrace. Celebrating 50 years of Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé, the terrace has been filled with soft pink wildflowers in Laurent-Perrier flower boxes and dusky pink furnishings – #Instagrammable. The terrace also offers a menu themed around the iconic rosé champagne, featuring a variety of fresh seafood dishes such as strawberry and Champagne cured seabass and hand dived scallops with chickpea polenta, heirloom tomatoes.

4. For New Cocktails: Dinerama
Must Order: Scorpion – Aged Rum, Cognac, orange, lemon and orgeat (£9)
The Run-Down: Street Feast have revamped their Shoreditch street food arena for the warmer climes, and that only means one thing: summer is here. Dinerama has whipped the roof off and transformed into east London’s ultimate sunshine watering hole. Here’s where you can drink Pineapple Daiquiris and Mai Tai’s with blue sky views and the sun on your back. Be sure to try the new summer cocktail menu, created by Street Feast’s Drinks Boss, Kev Armstrong, at Dinerama’s Pavilion Bar. The Rhubarb Spritz with Star of Bombay, Aperol, lime and rhubarb soda is a fruity lil number.

5. For Tropical Cocktails: St Martin’s Lane Hotel x BACARDĺ Cuatro
Must Order: Cuatro Air Mail – BACARDĺ Cuatro rum, Champagne, honey, lime and a dash of orange (£13)
The Run-Down: For an outdoor terrace away from the crowds that descend on Covent Garden, make a beeline for St Martin Hotel’s den terrace in partnership with the newly launched BACARDĺ Añejo Cuatro rum. The Den Terrace has been inspired by BACARDĺ Cuatro and the Caribbean glamour it represents. There’s an abundance of palm tree, ferns, cacti, banana trees and Kenetia palms decorating. Several rum-based cocktails feature on the drinks lists, and St Martin’s Hotel afternoon tea with a boozy twist.
