The location of the resort is stunning – set on one of the world’s finest beaches, the resort was founded as Barbados’ first resort in 1887, and its beach really needs to be seen to be believed. Every year, holidaymakers flock to The Crane to enjoy the sunshine-filled days. The resort truly is the home of natural beauty – it’s the kind of place you simply won’t want to leave.

The two bedroom suite with plunge pool is lovely and perfect for a family – it sleeps up to 6 people, and features its own kitchen, spa shower, two balconies and plunge pool.
There’s also a two bedroom contemporary suite with private pool – a contemporary residential-style, ground floor suite, with an open-plan living room, private patio and 13″ infinity pool. For all-out luxury, discover the three bedroom penthouse, which sleeps 8 people, has its own rooftop, BBQ grill, plunge pool and fully-equipped kitchen. Perfection.
The beach is really want attracts people to The Crane. The beach is beyond beautiful; perfect sand under your feet, a lush coconut grove, the tropical breeze and the Caribbean sun, makes The Crane beach a real tropical paradise. Protected by a natural coral reef, Crane Beach boasts one of the best swimming venues on the island of Barbados. What’s more, on the beach you can enjoy drinks and light meals from The Grove Bar & Grill – perfect for beach cocktails.
If you’re a foodie, you’ll love the range of offerings at The Crane Resort. They have restaurants to suit all tastes, including cuisines from Southern Italy, Japan, Thailand and beyond. I was really impressed with the quality of the offering – it’s rare to find so many cuisines done so well under one roof, but the food here is truly fantastic. For something special, try dining at Zen, which is Zagat-rated number one for food in Barbados. Zen is an Asian-inspired restaurant with an all-glass display, allowing you to take in the amazing views of Crane Beach, and home to the best sushi you’ll find in Barbados.
Try the spicy tuna rolls and the mango sticky rice dessert – seriously good. We also loved the poolside offering; the casual all-day feel of their pool restaurants put you totally at ease, and you’ll taste the best jerk fish wrap in all of Barbados.

You can benefit from an amazing fitness centre, two flood-lit tennis courts, yoga and zumba classes and the best golf around.
